Paradise Valley's beloved unicorn Butter died due to pneumonia she caught from the fires raging in Hidden Hills in December 2018. On that bittersweet day, the focus did not remain somber as another pony, Daisy, needed rescuing.
When Annette found the pony, Daisy could barely walk, her prognosis for recovery and healthy life was slim. They told Annette that Daisy would likely not make it and that it would be best if she chose another pony, allowing Daisy to be put to rest. Annette didn’t heed the warning and gave Daisy a chance. Like so many others at Paradise Valley, Annette nursed Daisy back to health. Daisy is now happy and thriving under Paradise Valley's care.
